The University of Western Ontario Faculty Association has formally requested Western\'s President to suspend shuttle service for students during the LTC strike.1 o* P3 `0 K4 I% I9 N' ?0 t
They\'re making the request in support of the London Transit Union which likened the shuttle service earlier this morning to \"union busting\".
+ k9 e3 u+ d3 U! ]The Faculty Association is one of the University\'s largest unions and represents more than 1500 professors and other staff. 2 U$ z! R) T1 E2 k9 f* \2 x
It had earlier said its members would not cross picket lines if LTC union members decided to protest the shuttle service near campus -- a move which would have left classrooms and lecture halls virtually empty.
